> A private collection of hand-knotted Oriental carpets — Persian, Caucasian, Anatolian and Turkmen weaving — shown by appointment in the San Francisco Bay Area. Carpets are chosen for honest provenance and visible craft, and offered through personal conversation rather than posted prices.

## About
HEREKE takes its name from the Turkish town synonymous with the world's finest carpets, and from "34", Istanbul's code. The house offers vintage and contemporary hand-knotted carpets across seven motif families: Persian Village Floral, Fine Floral Lattice, Caucasian Geometric, Fine Silk Medallion, Tribal & Revival Geometric, Cypress & Garden, and Turkmen Güls. Its stated charter is honesty — it declines to repeat the invented "motif dictionary" common in the rug trade, and says "traditionally read as" where a meaning is tradition rather than fact.
